India and Canada hold their inaugural Defence Dialogue

India and Canada held their inaugural Defence Dialogue virtually on 3 November 2026, co-chaired by Dr. Amit Telang and Mr. Scott Millar.

• The Dialogue focused on enhancing bilateral defence cooperation in industrial, military-technical, and R&D sectors.
• A Joint Statement was issued on 2 March 2026 by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Prime Minister Mr. Mark Carney.
• The two sides agreed to remain in touch to advance their bilateral defence partnership.
