Union Minister Dr Virendra Kumar Launches 'Vayo Samman Rashtriya Abhiyan' to Strengthen Intergenerational Bonding

Union Minister Dr Virendra Kumar launched the 'Vayo Samman Rashtriya Abhiyan', a National Intergenerational Bonding Campaign under the Atal Vayo Abhyuday Yojana, to strengthen intergenerational solidarity.

• Two Memoranda of Understanding were signed with Shri Ram Chandra Mission and Adhyatma Vigyan Satsang Kendra, Jodhpur, to promote holistic well-being through meditation, yoga, and wellness programmes.
• The initiative is based on the '5C' model: Connect, Converse, Co-create, Contribute, and Continue.
• Vayo SAATHI is a digitally enabled volunteer initiative open to citizens aged 18 and above for supporting senior citizens.
• India's population aged 60 years and above is projected to increase from 10 crore in 2011 to 23 crore by 2036.
