Department of Pharmaceuticals Constitutes Committee to Review Pharmaceutical Marketing Practices

The Department of Pharmaceuticals constituted a committee to review pharmaceutical marketing practices, curb unethical practices, and strengthen oversight mechanisms. The committee will submit recommendations within two months of its first meeting.

• Dr. M. Srinivas, Member of NITI Aayog, has been named as the Chairperson of the committee.
• Smt. Preeti Sudan, Former Union Health Secretary, and Dr. Naresh Trehan, CMD of Medanta, are members of the committee.
• The committee is required to submit its recommendations within two months from the date of its first meeting.
